Idea Generation for Writers Block

Author: TJ Philpott

Article:
If you do any amount of 'content composing' be it for articles,
websites , blog post, etc. you've probably encounter the
'dreaded' writers block.

Whether you're a seasoned article marketer or just starting out,
if you write your own articles it is not at all uncommon to
occasionally be at a loss for new blogs. In fact this can be
downright frustrating when you're trying to run your own online
business and you need to make good use of your time. Let me
share with you some of the techniques I used to generate ideas
for my articles.

1. Learn and earn This is one of my favorite approaches
since it enables me to educate myself on a topic that I have and
interest in and then I simply pass on the knowledge I learned to
readers of my articles. The information is fresh in my mind and
the information is something I can use for my business in
addition to writing about it for the viral effect.

2. Products that I've Purchased Being involved in
affiliate marketing I tend to purchase quite a bit of
informational based products that are chock full of ideas to
generate additional articles. In fact in many of these products
I will come across references or topics I don't quite understand
and as a result I do further research to become more familiar
and with this new found blogs as I mention in #1 above I'm able
to share what I've learned.

3. Visit Article directories Just by glancing thru the
titles of many articles is enough to give me the 'oh yea!'
moment where I know what I'd like to cover on that topic. I
simply see a title that gives me an idea, I jot down a quick
outline of the points I want to address pertaining to the
subject (the body), organize the points, write an introduction,
then sum it all up (my conclusion.)

4. Visit Forums I like to go to forums in the areas of my
interest to see what's new and to listen to opinions on anything
ranging from recently released products to varying marketing
techniques. In many cases forums can be considered online
brainstorming sessions and therefore are a gold mind for ideas.

5. Blogs Not as interactive as forums blogs still offer
ideas based upon the posts and comments themselves. Don't forget
that the original intention of a blog is to provide a platform
for people to express themselves. If we listen closely enough to
what is being said whether on a forum, in a blog, or simply on
the street, there's always something to be learned if you're
willing to be taught. Learning experiences are always thought
provoking, and with that comes ......... IDEAS!

Well if you've been 'listening' to the content of this article
you realize that you have an unlimited source of ideas for
stomping out your writers block . Grocery stores, libraries,
sporting events, self talk, you name it. Ideas are all around
you. Now take your ideas and shared them thru your articles! I
for one will listen!
